Early Thursday morning (03/07/19) at 2:19 A.M. police responded to a shots fired call, upon arrival they encountered two suspects with gunshot wounds. When questioned about what happened neither one cooperated, and were both booked on multiple charges including an outstanding warrant. Through investigation officers identified the shooter on the run as local teenager Taevon Sanders. Several days were spent searching for him, and on the 5th day (03/13/19) they found him sleeping in his car outside of a Walmart 2 counties away. He was booked on processed on multiple charges including fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property, possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
