WASHINGTON (AP) —
CDC posted on CDC.gov website today stating based on the available information to date, the risk of animals spreading the virus that causes COVID-19, to people is considered to be high.
In his most forceful pandemic actions and words, President Joe Biden on Sunday announced sweeping new federal vaccine requirements affecting as many as 500 million animals in an all-out effort to increase COVID-19 vaccinations and curb the surging delta variant.
Mr. Biden mandate is for all cats and dog, and the vast majority of other pets including rabbits and horses and the owners of the pets could face disciplinary measures if they refuse to Vaccinate their pets.
Speaking at the White House, Biden sharply criticized the roughly 500 million unvaccinated pets “can cause a lot of damage, and they are.”
Top U.S. health officials have reportedly warned the White House to curtail its plans to offer COVID-19 booster shots to Americans later this month.
Mr. Biden already paid for the booster shots which has an expiration date. In other words The booster shots will be given to the animals instead.
Biden announced the new requirements in a Monday morning address from the White House as part of a new “action plan” to address the latest rise in coronavirus cases and the stagnating pace of COVID-19 shots that has raised doubts among the public over his handling of the pandemic.
Biden’s approval ratings have plummeted, and this new pet mandate could spell trouble for Democrats in Congress.
Risk of people spreading SARS-CoV-2 to animals
People can spread SARS-CoV-2 to animals, especially during close contact.
Reports of animals infected with SARS-CoV-2 have been documented around the world. Most of these animals became infected after contact with people with COVID-19, including owners, caretakers, or others who were in close contact. We don’t yet know all of the animals that can get infected. Animals reported infected include:
* Companion animals, including pet cats and dogs and one ferret.
* Animals in zoos and sanctuaries, including several types of big cats, otters, and non-human primates.
* Mink on mink farms.
* Wild white-tailed deer in several U.S. states.
Research on animals and COVID-19
More studies are needed to understand if and how different animals could be affected by COVID-19.
Many studies have been done to learn more about how this virus can affect different animals. These findings were based on a small number of animals, and do not show whether animals can spread infection to people.
Recent experimental research shows that many mammals, including cats, dogs, bank voles, ferrets, fruit bats, hamsters, mink, pigs, rabbits, racoon dogs, tree shrews, and white-tailed deer can be infected with the virus. Cats, ferrets, fruit bats, hamsters, racoon dogs, and white-tailed deer can also spread the infection to other animals of the same species in laboratory settings.
A number of studies have investigated non-human primates as models for human infection. Rhesus macaques, cynomolgus macaques, baboons, grivets, and common marmosets can become infected with SARS-CoV-2 and become sick in a laboratory setting. There is some evidence suggesting that laboratory mice, which could not be infected with original strains of SARS-CoV-2, can be infected with new virus variants.
Chickens and ducks do not seem to become infected or spread the infection based on results from studies.
What CDC is doing
Since the beginning of the pandemic, CDC has been leading efforts to improve our understanding of how SARS-CoV-2 affects animals and how the virus might spread between people and animals. CDC has also worked to improve coordination of federal, state, and other One Health partners.
* CDC leads the One Health Federal Interagency COVID-19 Coordination (OH-FICC) Group, which brings together public health, animal health, and environmental health representatives from more than 20 federal agencies to collaborate and exchange information on the One Health aspects of COVID-19. For example, the group researches and develops guidance on the connection between people and pets, wildlife, zoo animals, and livestock; animal diagnostics and testing; and environmental health issues relevant to COVID-19.
* CDC leads the State-Federal One Health Update Call to bring local, state, tribal, and territorial partners together with OH-FICC members.
* CDC, USDA, state public health and animal health officials, and academic partners are working in some states to conduct active surveillance (proactive testing) of SARS-CoV-2 in pets, including cats, dogs, and other small mammals, that had contact with a person with COVID-19.
* CDC deployed One Health teams to multiple states to support state and local departments of health and agriculture, federal partners, and others in conducting on-farm investigations into SARS-CoV-2 in people, mink, and other animals (domestic and wildlife). The teams collected samples from animals on the farms and from people working on the farms and in surrounding communities. These investigations are ongoing.
An NBC poll found 61 percent of Americans thought the worst of the pandemic was behind us in April; by August, it was just 37 percent. Voters have rated Biden poorly on his handling of what was supposed to be a post-pandemic economy, too.
Even before the Afghan debacle, the country was turning against him, and Joe Biden has no one to blame but himself.
Biden’s presidency has been one stumble after another. It has only been 8 months, and the American people are already paying a steep price for his failures.
Biden can try and sweep Afghanistan under the rug, refuse to claim responsibility, and attempt to blame the Afghan people, military leaders, or even President Trump — but, the fact remains that with the Taliban now in control of Afghanistan, the United States is less safe because of JOE BIDEN.
Joe Biden will be impeached — because Joe Biden is the type of person who would mandate a pet to get vaccinated.
Joe Biden $2 Trillion infrastructure Plan in No Green New Deal!
Want a Green New Deal? Here’s a better one. Clean Earth
In this day and age, we the people want to live in clean cities and take comfort in the fact that their cities are managing their operations in an environmentally responsible manner.
Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey introduced a Green New Deal resolution calling on Congress to develop and implement a ten-year framework to dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
The climate change fight lays out five goals for the Green New Deal mobilization:
1. Achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by cutting carbon emissions across the economy, from electricity generation to transportation to agriculture.
2. Create millions of family-sustaining jobs, advance economic prosperity
3. Strengthen our infrastructure to address 21st-century challenges
4. Secure clean air and water, resilience, healthy food, access to nature, and a sustainable environment for all Americans
5. Promote justice and equity for frontline and vulnerable communities; repair and prevent systemic injustice
The 2020 U.S. Energy & Employment Report
reported The Energy and Energy Efficiency sectors employed 6.8 million people at the end of 2019
Boosting the economy by the elimination of millions jobs in the electricity generation, gas operated vehicles and oil and gas drilling by 2035 doesn’t sound like it.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez taking office at age 29 is the youngest woman ever to serve in the United States Congress.
She was born in 1989, before she was a
politician she worked as a waitress and bartender before running for Congress in 2018.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is Lacking in experience. She is naive and unskilled in the topic of technology. A politician with a bartender experience is going to lead this country in this technology facelift. It’s astonishing.
AOC previous Technology experience.
In her most recent jobs as a waitress and bartender hasn’t had a major breakthrough technology changes in that industry. You still make a Bloody Mary and Margaritas the same way as they did during the probationary. Pouring liquor out of a bottle in to a glass.
Because of AOC age, her previous Technology experience on a personal level is limited.
By the 1980’s most rotary phones were phased out so AOC probably doesn’t know how to make a phone call using a rotary phone.
Eight-track cartridges were phased out of retail stores by late 1982 so I bet AOC probably doesn’t know how to rewind an eight-track tape.
AOC probably thinks Betamax is a foreign language since Sony stopped making Betamax players in 2002.
AOC probably did operate VHS machine since she was 13 years old when VHS tapes began to decline in 2003 and by 2008, DVD had replaced VHS.
AOC should of realized old technology like the VHS tapes eventually gets phased out and gets replaced and it will continue. Stores are currently dropping CDs andDVD’s are being replaced by streaming service. Home phones are replaced by cell phones.
AOC current technology experience is buying music and streaming Netflix.
Once the old technology is gone it’s gone for ever except for vinyl albums, many people had given up for dead.
A couple of decades later, in 2007, vinyl sales made a sudden small increase.
DJ’s like vinyl because they can scratch and Artists were seeing that they can actually make money again selling a tangible piece of music.
By the early 2010s it was growing at a very fast rate. In some territories, vinyl is now more popular than it has been since the late 1980s
According to Loudwire Magazine,
The report showed that vinyl records generated $224.1 million opposed to CD’s which had made $247.9 million.
The Beetles, Abbey Road was the best-selling vinyl in 2019 with 246,000 copies sold.
Billie Eilish’s debut LP, “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, “ followed close behind wth 176,000 units moved.
I have the answers to create high-paying jobs, boost the economy, ensure that clean air, clean water and healthy food are basic human rights and avoid the worst consequences of climate change.
Want a Green New Deal? Here’s a better one. Instead of 0% greenhouse gas emissions, let’s work as a nation together to achieve 0% waste.
So that being said Can we achieve this?
You bet. Let analyze review how the first obstacle, greenhouse gas when it’s related to Electric Cars.
Electric Cars.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez plans to eliminate gas-powered cars. If AOC was technical inclined and familiar with the current electric vehicle industry she would realize that she doesn’t need to do anything, The bottom line is electric vehicles are already being replaced, the gas guzzlers are disappearing they are transitioning at a growing rate. As the technology keeps improving , gas vehicle will become less in demand.
Should we get rid of all gas cars by 2030? No, of course not.
I use vinyl albums as a perfect example.
The average commute in the United States is 25 minutes each way, which likely falls within the range of most EVs today.
The outdated Gas cars will still have some advantages.
If your in outside sales, or taking long road trips across the desert or a district manager driving between locations.
When it comes to refueling and range, gas cars have a clear advantage. Most electric cars can’t travel more than 150 miles at a time, and they can take up to 8 hours to recharge. Gasoline vehicles can have a range of 400 miles or more, and they can be refueled in only a few minutes.
People Love There Classic Cars… plus there are some 273.6 million gas powered vehicles registered in US. But without gas the cars would all be junk.
The military needs gasoline to Powered traditional armored vehicles including tanks, there engines are running on diesel or gasoline. The need to drive a 60-ton vehicle cross-country, as well as provide power to fire control, sensors, and environmental systems, requires powerful engines.
There are currently over a hundred different electric vehicles available, from over thirty different electric car manufacturers.
You also have the option of a hybrid car which combines at least one electric motor with a gasoline engine to move the car.
The result is less gasoline burned.
The current automakers are transition to hybrid electronic car to keep up with the the competition that are making 100% of there vehicles are electric.
AOC probably thinks Tesla is the only manufacturer of electronic vehicles (EV)
So as per example the time will improve technology.
So just let the consumer decide what car they want and buy 2030 80% of the car will most likely be electric.
So that being said let’s review technology when it’s related to air travel. Just like electric cars commercial jets will have to keep up with the competition.
The competition, drones and trains.
I believe the Jetsons future will be in the near future, by 2030 Drones will be a big part of traveling, Drones are currently be used for traveling. You have 2 seater full self driving pod that looks like a helicopter but the size of a compact car. No more traffic jams. The military currently have large drones the size of a small jet. Maybe the airlines will be able to convert a jet into a drone.
The other competition the airlines have to deal with is trains.
Trains are expanding Amtrak building more tracks and you also have new train companies like Lavx. There building a track from Las Angles to Las Vegas. There was also talk of a train going from New Orleans to Disney World with a stop in Panama City Beach. Maybe the government can get involved and get the land restrictions off or get it going.
So with the transition from gas to electric that will naturally take place with new technology the greenhouse gas will get lowered but AOC, she wants 0%.
AOC probably doesn’t realize that even if you do it her way and totally eliminate gas there will still be greenhouse gas is created by land fields.
0% Waste
Each year 1.6 billion tons of food waste go to landfills . when decomposed it generates methane gas, one of the most potent greenhouse gases that’s 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Landfill gas also contributes to smog, worsening health problems like asthma and contributing to climate change.
Recycle 100% of our trash and getting rid of landfills will dramatically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, create high-paying jobs, ensure that clean air, clean water and healthy food and a clean environment.
Every product we use is recyclable. The problem is we’re lazy. We would rather throw it away then go through the hassle of recycling. This is quit obviously the best and cleanest solution.
But is you have a motivation to recycle than people will recycle. The motivation is money.
Look at the streets of NY and San Francisco when the news shows the the garbage in the streets just imagine all that garbage was worth money. Where you can take bottles, cans, paper, cardboard, metal, used oil and old appliance and get cash. The street would be spotless.
I seen it work
I was born and raised in Michigan from 1959-1980
In 1976 Michigan Bottle Deposit Law was enacted to provide for the return of empty containers made of metal, glass, paper or plastic that contained beer, pop, carbonated and mineral water, wine coolers or canned cocktails to retailers for a 10-cent refund.
It made a huge difference, I was living with three roommates at the time and we had a lot of parties. When the people left they didn’t take the empties which was great, we made a fortune returning bottles.
Before the Bottle Deposit Law you would go to the park there would be bottles cans thrown everywhere, after the law the parks were clean, you had people searching through garbage cans didn’t see any bottles or cans on the side of the road.
Recycling is an excellent law to keep America green and only 11 states states are involved, it is so amazing.
Democrats are always promoting this green new deal and something like recycling is never even mentioned.
I’m completely shocked 44 years later and there’s so many states that still don’t have recycling laws. The first step should be that every state is required to have a bottle deposit law.
This law will start making America beautiful again but it will also creat a lot of new job opportunities. Every grocery store and convenient store will have to hire additional help to maintain the deposit department.
It will also creat consumer revenue.
Recycling other products have to be convent and finance awarding.
With More Than 13,800 Stores Closing In 2020 So Far like Pier One, J.C. Penney’s & Bed Bath & Beyond. The states need to make it mandatory the there should be
a minimum of at least one recycling facility in all 3,143 counties with larger cities having two to five location. The locations would instantly give you cash for Glass, Metal, Appliances, Paper & cardboard.
Medical waste would have to be handled differently. MedRecycler, A Wholly Owned Subsidiary of Sun Pacific Holding (OTC:SNPW) will be launching a 48,000 square foot facility, which should be able to process up to 70 tons of medical waste per day and turn it into renewable energy.
It will Generate renewable energy equal to the amount required to power over one thousand homes every year in an environmentally friendly way.
Turning medical waste in to renewable energy was not even mentioned by AOC, she just want to close down electric companies.
So that being said let’s review technology when it’s related to oil disappear.
OIL
If AOC was technical inclined and familiar with the current trends more electric vehicle sold less oil will be needed. So again would realize that she doesn’t need to do anything,
Houston is home to 125,000 employees working directly in oil and gas production, according to the Texas Oil & Gas Association.
That is a huge step, to make so we can you have a clean environment.
The Green New Deal funds new jobs, including installing solar panels, retrofitting coastal infrastructure, and manufacturing electric vehicles.
Start with making sure everyone is recycling taking Household Hazardous Waste to a facility. Then fill in the gaps.
According to the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), roughly one third of the food produced in the world for human consumption gets lost or wasted every year.
According to a survey conducted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in 2014, the total cost of food waste to the global economy amounted to approximately $2.6 trillion
Recycling Advantages
* Reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills and incinerators;
* Conserves natural resources such as timber, water, and minerals;
* Prevents pollution by reducing the amount of trash that’s throne in oceans and lakes;
* Saves energy;
* Helps create new well-paying jobs in the recycling and manufacturing industries in the United States.
Make it mandatory that all 3,143 counties in the US have a Household Hazardous Waste facility (HHW) to drop off hazardous products that endangers the environment.
The importance of proper hazardous waste disposal is essential for citizens and business owners alike. Hazardous waste is defined by waste that poses significant or potential threats to the public, health, or environment.
Historically, hazardous wastes were regularly dumped into landfills. This unfavorable action caused the chemicals to seep into the ground and eventually enter our natural water systems. From there, our wild and marine life mammals became exposed to all sorts of chemicals which can in return cause issues for us.
Unfortunately people are still throwing hazardous waste products in the garbage.
Hazardous Waste Products
Used Motor Oil
* The amount of oil involved in just one oil change has the potential to affect up to a million gallons of water.
* Motor oil is banned from landfill disposal and cannot be placed with your garbage. Because motor oil can contaminate our water supply it can’t be disposed of improperly it has to be recycled.
Lead acid batteries
Lead acid batteries, such as those used in automobiles, have been banned from landfill disposal.
Many batteries contain toxic chemicals like mercury, nickel, and cadmium. If such batteries end up in a landfill, those chemicals can leach into the soil or water system
Gasoline, paints, thinners, solvents and pool chemicals
Gasoline, paints, thinners, solvents, pool chemicals and similar materials cannot be placed in your garbage because they are harmful to the environment.
Paint exchange
Require counties to have paint exchange facilities. Volusia County, recycling about 300 gallons of paint each month. These facilities provide paint to noncommercial and nonprofit organizations as available.
Electronics
TVs to smartphones contain heavy metals, such as lead and cadmium, which can be toxic to the environment if thrown away.
Fluorescent Light Bulbs
fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) contain mercury, a hazardous element that can’t be disposed of in the regular trash without negatively impacting the environment.
Personal Care Products
• Nail polish remover • Peroxides
• Rubbing alco
Yard Products
• Fertilizers • Herbicides • Pesticides • Poisons
Old mattresses and box springs are bulky, take up space in landfills and cause problems at waste combustors. Over 80% of mattress and box spring parts (metal, wood and textiles) can be recycled at special mattress recycling operations (there are three in Massachusett
Environmental Services Stocks
The environmental services sector includes companies that offer services to collect and dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Their services can range from the removal of toxic waste from soil to removing medical waste. Companies in this sector also operate incinerators, waste treatment plants, landfills and sewerage systems.
It’s Time for a Change
As citizens of the global community, each of us has an opportunity to make zero waste choices today for a better world tomorrow.
Let’s do our part for the environment, and help empower others to do the same, because together we can achieve a future with less waste.
Converting trash to energy is a vital part of the waste and renewable energy industry in the U.S. The high demand for energy has already led to an increase in the use of waste incinerators. There is a need for US industries to embrace the use of alternative fuels to serve as fossil fuel replacements and reduce their carbon footprint.
