Netflix’s Swedish-language drama Young Royals has received the nod for a second season.
This fantastic news was announced via a cast video earlier in the week, addressing their fans directly.
According to close sources, the teen-drama series will begin pre-production during the last week of September.
Season one, which debuted on the streaming giant this July, centres on Prince Wilhelm’s enrolment in boarding school following a scandal.
Whilst here, he must step outside his comfort zone by interacting with other pupils his age; simultaneously grappling with his sexuality as he gravitates towards one of his male classmates.
The teenage prince’s sexuality is later exposed to the national media when he becomes the heir apparent following his brother’s death.
Young Royals season one is now streaming on Netflix, with a second season officially arriving sometime next year.
