China requiring “promiscuous” women into a forced birthing program to address collapsing birth rate

Chinese president Xi Jinping announced early Thursday morning that Chinese authorities would begin a program requiring women deemed by the government to be “fallen women”, or women who are “sexually promiscuous”, to join a special birthing program. These women will be assigned to bear children for childless Chinese elite men and will be prohibited from travel or from leaving the country, as China has declared fertile women “a national resource”.

The United Nations Human Rights Council decried the move, stating that placing millions of women in “Sexual Servitude” is on par with some of Beijing’s worst inclinations during Xi’s presidency. The European Union’s Foreign Relations office also called the move “barbaric”, stating that China’s reckless one-child policy is to blame.
