The PGA announced this morning that there have been changes with Sponsorship. An spokesman said that “We had to evaluate the changes and we still do not understand the full ramifications since this will have generational impact like we have never seen before.” The changes that were announced are as follows: Nike, Ping, and Vice are pulling back their sponsorship of Team Jaroszewski and entering into a non-exclusive sponsorship with Team R I K. A spokesman stated “We feel that with what R I K was able to pull off the past two weeks are something that future generations of golfers will be talking about and with his first appearance at the Masters in April this will add to his appeal.” He also stated “This non-exclusive deal is unusually as R I K does not have to use any of our equipment but with his upside we fell that this will pay off in short time.” He was asked about Jaroszewski and he said ” We will still sponsor him but not to the extent we have been. He is a tremendous golfer but if the last two weeks are any indicator of things to come, we want to be ahead of the curve.”
In other sponsor ship b news, the ratings for the past twos weeks have been nothing like we have seen before. “The golf world was taken by surprise that R I K was quickly trending and people tuned in to watch.” A TV executive said. He also said that ” When Jaroszewski is at the top of his game that it is pretty boring to watch. Who wants to watch when you know what he is going to do. Right down the middle. Fans watch to see the unexpected. Even when Tony lips out a put, no one is surprised. He’ll say ” what the F@#@, and then most likely throw his putter. That’s why both old and new fans are tuning into watch R I K.”
In other perplexing sponsorship deals, Eric Lerner is going to be a sponsor of Callaway. A Callaway spokesman said that ” When we were approached by Lerner and said that he wanted to sponsor us, we jumped at the deal.” This is a first for any company that a player is sponsoring a company and not vice versa. “Who wouldn’t take that deal?” he said with a grin
In the last bit of sponsorship deal Team Paciolla has announced a sponsorship with Sky Vodka. Paciolla stated “They have been a big part of my life and will me with my rehab, i could not think of a better company to work with.” The deal also includes a rehab promotion that Paciolla used.
