Two teenagers are in custody this morning after robbing a man at gunpoint and running from police.
Meridian police said they got a call on Tuesday evening about a carjacking and armed robbery near 71st and Lewis.
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday evening officers spotted the stolen car near 61st and Madison and tried to pull the driver over.
After stopping the vehicle, two teenage boys jumped from the car and began running.
A Meridian police officer said as the girls were running one dropped a handgun and he could see the other girl had a gun as well. Police set up a perimeter and used K9’s to eventually stop the girls.
