Gaga ball is a well known, fun pass time for many elementary students all around the United States. Missouri students in particular enjoy playing this game before school, at recess’s, after school, and any other chance they get.
Unfortunately, Governor Mike Parsons has decided to put a stop to this. “Students are becoming too competitive, hurting their knuckles, and breaking bones from dodging and jumping over the ball while in the pit”, said the Governor. Missouri students are in an uproar. One student from St. Louis, Missouri states, “Gaga ball is the best part of recess! Why would they take that away from us? I think students should come together to try and fight back against this new law.” Many students in his 4th grade class agreed with that statement.
Regardless, beginning November 8th, all Missouri schools will need to remove Gaga ball pits and ban any Gaga ball games on school property. Any students who do not follow these rules will be forced to sit in the Principal’s office during all recess times until they are willing to obey.
