The Future of COVID-19

COVID-19 is a worldwide pandemic that has been impacting people since 2019. It has isolated us in our homes, devastated businesses and overall created a world most people, a few years ago, wouldn’t recognize. However, since the testing and issuing of vaccines, we expected life to be getting back to normal- this has not been the case. Many of the vaccines have proven to not be particularly effective, especially Moderna. In a statement from Dr. Fauci. “Moderna has proven to be one of the most ineffective vaccines in America when it comes to combating COVID-19. With 56.6 % of the population being vaccinated, and Moderna being only 66.3% effective, we can’t necessarily expect to see a real decrease in newly developed cases”.

With this development it appears that cases of people getting sick in America aren’t on as great of a decline as one would hope. Since Sept 9, 2020, America has seen 33, 332 new cases of COVID-19 compared to Sept 9, 2021 when new COVID-19 cases totaled 170, 571. And unfortunately, as more and more of the population continues to get vaccinated with a vaccine that doesn’t work, COVID-19 will continue to be a daily concern for citizens in America.
