Studies have shown that Cellphone’s don’t affect your grades. In January 2019 a group of college students from Yale University did a social experiment. They took 10 students from a local high school in New Haven Connecticut. Five students didn’t use their phones for a week and, the other five kept their phones. At the end of the week studies showed that there were no difference in grades between groups. Commonly, parents and teachers tend to blame bad grades on phones. Phones can affect some students school work, if they don’t put an effort into homework/Studying. It is always good to check in with your child and talk about their grades and homework before blaming a phone. Recent studies have shown that, most high school students get lower grades due to a non-balanced schedule and high stress levels. Lots of highschoolers tend to lean on their phones when they get stressed. It helps them lower stress and express their personality. Next time you get a students report card and you see one or two bad grades talk to them before blaming phones.
