Frank Welker, the original voice actor of Scooby-Doo and Fred, has retired after voice acting for 52 years. He first started voice acting in 1969 on the show “Scooby-Doo, Where Are You” as Fred Jones. Additionally, Welker has been playing Scooby-Doo since 2002. “Look, I enjoy voice acting,” Frank said, “But I just can’t keep doing it anymore. I am just getting too old for this sorta thing, you know?” Frank Welker is currently 75 years old.
