Circa 1952, the young Billy Graham was rumored to advocate the use of the controversial ouijia board. Just recently, declassified CIA files have confirmed that President Truman called upon the young evangelist to ‘fight the enemy’ by using the very tool that the enemy preys upon. Later commentators, four decades later, claimed that the fall of the Soviet Union stemmed from Graham’s actions in the ’50s. Graham was known for being a staunch anti-communist, and sided with many of the controversial policies of the Cold War.
