Graham Praises the Faith of Californians

In a press conference in Fullerton, a journalist from the LA Times asked a loaded question to Franklin Graham, the son of the late, famed evangelist Billy Graham: “What have you noticed about the state of the Church in the United States?”

Franklin Graham stated that because of his travels, he’s encountered lots of believers, and he noted that the Christians in CA are, “on every spiritual level, far advanced than the Christians in other states.”

Graham then compared California Christians to Christians in Texas. “Bless those Texans, but I’ve noticed that they lag behind Californians in just about everything.”

Graham then proceed to say, “There’s a reason why the Azusa Street Revival took place in California. There’s a reason why the Jesus movement, which fueled the Calvary Chapel and Vineyard awakenings, happened in California. And then there’s a reason why David Koresh thrived in Texas.”

Graham then urged Texans to re-examine their faith, and ask the deep questions of what it means to be a Christian.
