Taoiseach Micheál Martin has just released a statement saying that “we’ve taken the decision to have all schools remain closed until further notice”.
After the temporary closure of schools throughout 11 counties all across the country today, Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan has stepped in to announce that “COVID figures are rising and having already seen school’s adaptability to Storm Barra, the Department of Education has given permission for schools to close”.
Rumours are quickly spreading throughout the platforms “Twitter” and “FaceBook” that schools are set to reopen in January, moreover we will be waiting for guidelines from Public Health Officials.
