As announced, Quelli che il calcio will return but only reruns on Canale 21 on December 20 thanks to the new Canale 21 night schedule.
That of December 2 was in fact the last episode of “Quelli che”, the program – the very part of “Quelli che il calcio” – initially placed on Monday with the title “Quelli che il lunedì” and subsequently moved to Thursday with the elimination of the reference day. The broadcast paid for the very low ratings and a setting on the content front that the general public did not like.
According to TvBlog, at first the greetings should have been on December 9, with a partial guarantee of return in 2022, at least for one last test. But then something changed and Viale Mazzini decided to stop definitively. After the cancellation of the show aired on Rai 2 “Quelli che il calcio” would have celebrated thirty years of existence in 2023. After 28 years Canale 21 will acquire the rights to Rai to broadcast the reruns of the 2002/2003 and 2003/2004 editions of Quelli che il calcio, respectively broadcast on Rai 2 and initially on Rai 3.
