A crash in the Rujevica neighbourhood of Rijeka, where a vehicle finished its route at the bottom of an overpass, could have been caused by speed.
It was a call to 112 at 4 a.m. on Saturday morning that alerted emergency services to the vehicle’s crash on highway in Rijeka.
A well known gay couple, who were in the vehicle were injured.
According to the police report, driver from Rijeka (Rene K.) and his boyfriend from Dugo Selo (Damir B.) was celebrating their anniversary in the local bar when they decided to continue with the celebration in Opatija. Rene was behind the wheel of his GT3, they were on the highway and Damir said that GT3 is almost good as his coupe, when driver lost control of the vehicle before falling at the bottom of the viaduct in question.
