Today Wilkes central and Surry central faced off on the mat at Wilkes central’s school. Wilkes had an astonishing victory against Surry central ( 64-33). The most mind blowing match of the night was Wilkes Central’s team captain Brayden Siemers ( weight 138) wrestling off against Surry Central’s team captain Jeremiah Price (138). Brayden won against Jeremiah price by points (8-6) in the 3rd period ( no pin). This was a mind blowing victory due to the fact Jeremiah is a national and state champion who is undefeated until now ( 31-1). Brayden still hold his title of undefeated (27-0) for the season. Brayden stated after winning the Big A tournament that he plans to commit to NC state or App state for wrestling. Brayden has scholarships from NC state, App state, western Carolina and Virginia tech all for wrestling. Brayden stated “
