Glow worms in the Keys very rare you almost have a one in the million Champs I’ve ever seen one in your entire life, so here in the cycle that means you might have seen one.
They usually appear two to three days after a full moon but that time can you change depending on the time of year. What causes them is a type of algae called the anktiokaian ( ank-ka-tok-ian) algae.
You must have a one-in-a-million chance of ever spotting one of these glow worms because they almost always in the deepest parts of the ocean.
Scientist Mark Rober discovered these worms on a trip to the Mariana Trench and they were not again spotted for another 43 years until civilian James Robin spotted off the coast of the Florida Keys.
There have been a lot more reported cases since then but they are you’re very rare and you’re very lucky to spot one.
