On February 22, 2022, a drunk driver by tge name of Selma Rivera was driving with her 6 year old daughter (name may not be disclosed) in the back seat. She was intoxicated after a party around 10p.m. and crashed into a red SUV. She was charged with a DWI and sentenced to 15 years in prison. Her daughter was rushed to the hospital shortly after the accident but suffered major injuries to her neck and spinal cord. She eventually died 30 minutes later. “She was a happy little girl” said the child’s grandmother Anna Rivera. The daughter’s funeral will be held on February 25, 2022 from 10a.m. – 8p.m. at Rodriguez Funeral Services.
