According to recent reports local octogenarian, Karla Staples (30), fell in the middle of a busy Batemans Bay street today causing major havoc.
The woman, confirmed to be Eurobodalla’s oldest living resident, was helped out of the street by nearby samaritans – described as “junkies” by Ms Staples.
Traffic was at a standstill and one motorist allegedly grew tired of waiting for the scene to clear and threatened to run down the Ancient One, quoted: “How long is this old crone going to take!” The motorist was reprimanded and fined $200.
Eurobodalla Shire Council and Batemans Bay City Council have both pledged to hire a full-time carer to look after Ms Staples well into the future.
