The College of New Jersey Announces Plan to Refund Tuition

The College of New Jersey has recently announced their plan to refund all current full-time students their tuitions in full for the 2020-2021 school year.
This announcement follows weeks of pressure and threats of legal action put on by TCNJ students and parents who have voiced their dissatisfaction with the quality of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. President Kathryn Foster made the announcement Tuesday morning in an unprecedented press conference with the Board of Trustees counsel board stating, “It has always been our goal to provide the highest level of education for our students, and due to the nature of the circumstances surrounding the COVID pandemic we have made the decision to refund a full year of tuition for full-time TCNJ students for the 2020-2021 school year only.”
This marks a historic moment for university tuition policy, giving students around the country hope that TCNJ is a trailblazer for other schools to follow in its footsteps.
