A 15 year old boy was shot 4 times today at
5:59pm, following an alleged drug deal on West 183rd street.
A witness called authorities prior to the shooting when they saw the suspect (unidentified) getting into an altercation with the 15 year old. As the 15 year old turned around to leave, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the boy from point blank range; two times in the neck and 2 times in the back. Officers believe that this murder was gang related, as there has been many gang related attacks recently in the area.
This incident occurred in broad daylight, and medical assistance arrived almost immediately. Unfortunately the boy was pronounced dead in the vehicle he was taken to the Roger Williams Medical Center.
