It’s been seven months since we lost the devilish charmingly king of hell forever – or so it seemed. Now showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have officially announced that there is going to be a “Lucifer” movie, coming out in 2023!
First Teen Wolf, now Lucifer. The supernatural Netflix show follows the example of the werewolf-drama, promising their never resting fans more of our favourite angels. And not just angels, of course! Joe Henderson has published a Tweet, revealing who is definitely going to be starring in the coming movie. We got the names for you.
Returning Main Cast
Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar and Michael
Lauren German as Chloe Decker
Leslie-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith
Rachael Harris as Doctor Linda Martin
D.B Woodside as Amenadiel
Kevin Alejandro as Daniel Espinoza
Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing our beloved off-spring, Trixie Espinoza, as the young Scarlett Estevez is currently working on several different projects herself. There has not yet been a confirmation on Aimee Garcia returning as Ella Lopez, as well as Inbar Lavi as Eve, but we are still holding out hope.
And that’s not all. There are several recurring characters from the show, joining the main cast on the big screen, as well as some special guest experience.
The rest of the Cast

Special Guest Appearances:

Joe Henderson has not revealed much other than most of the cast and a few character name drops here and there, but here’s what we know:
– The movie will take place on all the planes of existence – Heaven, Hell and Earth
– The setting of LUX has already been claimed back, amongst others
– The movie will take place between the ending of season six and the actual ending of season six – meaning, after Lucifer returns to hell
– It’s highly unlikely that we will see Rory in the movie, at least portrayed by Brianna Hildebrand, as Rory is nothing but an infant here
– It is however possible that we will see a child version of Charlie, Amenadiel’s and Linda’s son
– Chloe Decker seems to be a grand liar because Joe Henderson revealed that, unlike we were lead to believe after season six, there will be Deckerstar scenes
– However, as much as we love Deckerstar, the movie will focus on many other relationships as well. Especially those between the characters on earth, between the one’s in heaven and between the one’s in hell (last one being more than just Lucifer and Michael, according to Joe Henderson)
Plus, a little info on the three new characters we got:
Castiel, as most supernatural fans might know, is an angel of the Lord. Played by Daniel Sharman, who has not yet been confirmed to return for the Teen Wolf movie as Isaac Lahey, he will be another one of Lucifer’s and Amenadiel’s brothers, that was mentioned one time one the show.
Jeremy Bonham, presented by Twilight’s Taylor Lautner, will be a resident of hell. One of the souls Lucifer will be trying to help get upstairs.
And last but not least, Emma Stone in the role of the demon Genevieve. Another star who has not made a reappearance in her own movie franchise, Spider-Man (No Way Home), but will now bless us in this picking up of the Lucifer series.
The movie is set to come out in 2023, when exactly has not been announced yet.
