A 35 year old software engineer from Jaipur, Ankit Sethi, lost around 100 kgs in 1 month creating a local Pimpri-Chinchwad world record. He weighed 85 kgs last year before he went to Jaipur, his home town, where he gained 90 kgs weighted 175 kg just a month ago. In his own words he compared his physique with a ‘har jagah se faili hui adrak’ (a ginger protruding from everywhere). He claims that eating food full of mom’s love made him find his own love for home food again and he just couldn’t stop eating. He also believes that the famous local statue circle coffee, which is full of heavy milk and extra sugar (which is also got addicted to), also contributed significantly.
He says that after returning to Pune, he had to actually move a muscle (except the ones used for eating) and had to take care of his 1 year old son, had to do household work and he actually found a few new muscles which he had never used before, beneath the layers of accumulated fat. He says the entire inspiration came from the regular hunter whips he had been getting from his wife since they got back.
He also thanks the junk food and the local tasteless Marathi food for his weight reduction.
Sethi, now 75 kgs, is planning to become a weight loss motivational speaker and terms his experience nothing short of a miracle. He is also planning to write a book titled ‘Hunting the weight’.
