In last minute fashion, the Pennsylvania fish and game commission has decided to delay the opening day of trout. “The opener will be postponed to a later date” the fish and game representative announced in a press conference earlier today.
When asked why he cited the sudden spike in covid-19 cases seen this week. “The novel covid-19 virus is deadly and dangerous. The Pennsylvania fish and boat commission would like to avoid any additional spread that might occur due to high crowds that are often seen on the first day of trout”.
Many fishermen are angered at this decision. Randy Snyder of Warwick stated “ this last minute move is a terrible decision. Being outside presents little to no change of contamination”.
