If you haven’t already you will be soon getting a cancelation notice from Carnival cruises after the U.S. port authority submitted a cease and desist to Carnival for failure to pay $20mil in fines for The cruise line giant Carnival Corporation for environmental violations such as dumping plastic waste into the ocean. Carnival cruise Lines has already paid $40 million over other deliberate acts of pollution.
U.S. District Judge Patricia Seitz approved the terms of the cease operations order during a hearing Monday in Miami. She had appeared to grow increasingly frustrated as the company continued to flout environmental laws during the course of the years-long case.
Carnival customers are expressing there discontent on social media with the company after all cruises have been canceled as of Sunday May 15, 2022. Many have been told that they may not recieve refunds. More to come as the story unravels.
