GW student found guilty of murder

Makenzie Lester has been convicted of murder after violently stabbing her former roommate, Mia Iannios. Iannios was found last week by Chattanooga police with approximately 69 wounds on her body, reports say. Lester had been hiding underneath her brothers bed for 6 days before being located by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

While inspectors continue to search for more information about the incident, students at The George Washington University were interviewed about the tragic death of Mia. “Yeah honestly it doesn’t surprise me, she’d always give me a look of evil when I saw her in Kogan Plaza, like she wanted to kill me” Freshman Christina Shore stated. Additionally, Lester’s other roommates, Abby Gobler and Maryn Larsen, also stated that they got a weird feeling after finishing living with Lester for a year.

Lester will spend 45 years in prison with no chance of parole starting on June 27, 2022. A candlelit service for Iannios will be held at the White House south lawn. Kamala Harris will sing “i’m sexy and I know it” to honor Iannios.
