A suspect was taken into custody early Saturday morning after attempting to break into a Wells Fargo bank with the intention of taking 2.3 thousand dollars in cash.
Last Saturday at approximately 2:36 AM a slim young man who was wearing a baggy “playboy carti” tee shirt, was seen breaking into the Wells Fargo bank on Pennsylvania Ave. Witnesses claim he was attempting to enter the bank through the side window by “bashing the glass in with a skateboard”.
“Yea uh, I saw him, he actually offered me a cigarette seconds before he approached the bank.” -claimed unidentified witness.
Fortunately, police arrived to the scene at approximately 2:54 AM and the suspect was detained immediately. The suspected was later identified as Chase Shart, or as standbys label him “Cigarette Chase”.
Shart, a 19 year old, George Washington University student, had previous criminal record that consists of a few 3rd degree misdemeanors, including littering on private property, yet no severe crimes. He is expected to serve 35 years in jail with no Parole.
While Shart is now in custody, police are still looking for the unidentified woman who acted as a runaway driver. There is little information regarding her appearance or whereabouts, however witnesses describe her as an “emo gf”. If you have any information on the case or the unidentified suspect please contact local authorities immediately.
