What to expect from a 4 month relationship
While true that every 4 month relationship is totally different, there are a few signs you should watch for. You don’t want to be stuck in a situation that doesn’t seem to be moving at all.
If you’re keen to take the relationship toward something more serious and your partner doesn’t, you probably won’t want to invest any more than the 4 months you’ve already put forward. Who can blame you?
Remember, never compare and never have rules about where you should be at a certain timeframe, but after 4 months of dating or seeing each other, whatever you want to call it, there are some averages you might want to look for.
This is a message from someone we interviewed:
“Four months might not sound like a big achievement for other people but for us, it feels like it’s as if we have already known each other for long enough. In our case, it has been four months since we’ve known each other. Believe it or not, a lot has happened within that four months. It’s been a rollercoaster ride. A series of ups and downs. But honestly, I might just say that this could be the best thing that has ever happened to us. Within that span of time, we’ve found comfort. Comfort from within the things that we once thought would be impossible to share with others. Comfort in such a way that a day without each other becomes tough to get through. We’ve found differences. A variety of things where we’ve found ourselves on different pages. Difference of beliefs, principles, experiences, and views. We’ve found understanding and acceptance. By acknowledging each others differences and flaws, we’ve found our common ground. The fact that we’re both imperfect and that’s what makes us who we are. Lastly, we’ve found genuineness. A part of our hearts that not everyone can easily find. Some people might say that this is too early for me to say… but this person is someone who I want to be with for the rest of my life.
To my goal, my love, my husband. I love you so much! Now, as you read this, look at me as I say… Thank you for 4 months of happiness and love. Tingin kana saken, bilis.”
