Biden Administration To Remove Waze From American Cell Phones

The Biden Administration has announced that it will remove the popular navigation app, Waze, from both the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. In an official statement, FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel labeled the Israeli-owned app as a “national security threat” and said it’s “outdated software presented an unnecessary danger to American cell phone users.” Both President Biden and Vice President Harris have yet to publicly comment on the FCC’s removal of the app.

The official FCC statement announced that Waze would be removed from cell phone marketplaces on July 18.
