Adele Under Fire due to Fan’s Death

Adele is facing backlash and a criminal lawsuit when one fan took her words too literally. Dom Smith, 24, took Adele’s words, “I set fire to the rain”, to a new level when he raised his cigarette lighter to the rain falling on him while listening to the smash hit. Unfortunately for him, what he thought was rain was really gasoline spraying from a local gas station where a truck crashed mere minutes ago. Smith caught fire and was pronounced dead at the scene. Smith’s family is now suing Adele for reckless endangerment and is demanding justice. “She should have had a disclaimer at the beginning and end of her song. How are people supposed to know not to do what she tells them to do through song,” Smith’s relative said. Adele is due in court on Wednesday.
