A local comedian was arrested on Monday, August 15th, after allegedly exposing himself in front of Learning Bug Preschool.
Paul Pipitone, 65, was taken into custody after concerned parents repeatedly called authorities claiming their children, ages three and four, reported a naked man dancing outside of their preschool. One of the alleged child victims claimed that Pipitone’s “thingy was all weird and twisty”. Pipitone’s bond was set at $30,000. The comedian is being charged with 11 accounts of indecent exposure and sexual misconduct with minors.
Pipitone’s comedic career consisted of musings on his Italian-American identity and touched on subjects such as Fettuccine, talking with one’s hands, and Andiamo’s. He ran an “open-mic” at Ferndale’s New Way Bar on Woodward Ave. One disgruntled ex-performer described Pipitone’s demeanor as “tyrannical and homoerotic”. Interviews with Pipitone’s comedic peers reveal he often bragged about his sexual exploitation. One fellow comedian stated Pipitone posited jokes, wherein he described getting “down and dirty with a minor in an Andi- amo’s”.
When reached for a comment, Andiamo’s refuted any affiliation with Pipitone, despite his insisted claims of partnership. Pipitone, when questioned, exclaimed “Mama mia, I love the children.” In an affected Italian accent
