Jos, Nigeria. The police and judicial system, once again prove the ineptness of the familiar system, this time being unable to determine the address of a woman sued for alimony by eight men.
The last of the victims decided to publicize the case, as he learned about the other men by accident when he asked for a copy of the claim at court. He received a copy intended for a different young father, also requesting alimony from the same woman. Thanks to the digital judicial system, it has been quickly established that there are even more such men in this situation.
Adamu met her victims in various cities, and the relations usually did not last long. She quickly got bored with her partners and ran off. The men learned about the pregnancies later, when they had no contact with the woman
The woman has been aware of the possibility of getting pregnant. The men admit that Maryam was in charge of birth control, and they suspect that she lied about protection. Allegedly, she told two of the men that they do not need protection because she is infertile.
The oldest child is two years old and the youngest, twins, are 3 months old. The first man filed a complaint more than a year ago. Since then the court and police are unable to determine the woman’s address.
