As the Omicron variant and the third wave of Covid-19 seem to subside, the major software organisations in India have started planning to open the offices again. The tech giant GE Digital planning their employees to prepare for a callback to work from office.
After almost 2 years of WFH, it will be a big change for organisations as well as employees to start working from offices. While most companies are planning to follow a flexible hybrid work model, there will still be significant disruption in the work-life of IT employees.
The Hyderabad-based tech giant GE digital is opening offices for its employees. They will be working from the office for 3 days from October 3 onwards.
Well, this is not the first time in 2 years that companies have started planning to open offices. Last year also, after the second wave of COVID-19, the companies briefly started work from office for some employees. However, the Omicron wave diminished all those plans and efforts. Now, it remains to be seen if the plans of flexible and hybrid workplaces work this time or not
