Last Friday afternoon Pascagoula Police department stopped a grey Honda accord, once the officers approached the vehicle there were two black African american teens. The officer says she spotted a firearm in the cup holder in the middle consul. the officer asked the teens to carefully move their hands up where she can see them. Once the officer turned her head for a quick second the passenger started moving rapidly. The officer thought the teen had a firearm in his hands so she pulled out her firearm and told the teen not to move. Body cam footage shows the teen had something in his hands so the officer let off three shots.
After the object the teen had in his possession was confiscated the officer moved the teen out of the car and was rushed to Singing River Hospital. The driver was told to carefully open the door and step out of the vehicle. He was also taken into custody.
