In Volume 2 of Stranger Things, Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) confessed his love for his best friend, Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) by using Eleven’s (Millie Bobby Brown) name instead of his own. From that confession Mike is obviously very oblivious and thought he was actually talking about Eleven’s feelings, while Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) knew he was talking about himself. Later on we see Eleven struggling to save Max (Sadie Sink) from Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower). Will tell’s Mike that he’s “the heart” of the party, and that’s what gets him to finally confess to Eleven that he loves her. So does that mean if it wasn’t for Will’s speech he wouldn’t have said it?
