3 months after the shocking crash between Santa and his reindeer, investigators decided to question the reindeer in order to get details on the crash. The 5 surviving reindeer -Dasher, Prancer, Vixen, Blitzen, and Cupid- were hesitant to answer the questions given. However, Vixen was the first to come forward.
“One second, I’m flying with my team by Santas command. The next? I’m crushed by a tree,” Vixen told Dipsy Doodle, the primary investigator on the case. “It all happened so fast. I must’ve blacked out.” When asked about what Vixen saw, she refused to answer.
Blitzen was the second to speak on the manner, holding his calm demeanor as if nothing happened. “When we took off under Santa’s command, I felt uneasy,” He began, a solemn tone took to his words. “I believed that this uneasiness was simply a result of the harsh wind.” He took a moment to pause after that. “After all, Santa has never crashed before.”
Blitzen’s eyes flashed with pain before he continued. “I remember my head being buried into something bitter, only warm due to the pain of the impact. My muscles were sore, aching under their own weight.” He paused. “My eyes flickered open after…god knows how long.”
“Then what happened?” Dipsy Doodle asked.
“I…” His voice trailed and he soon shook his head. “I’m not required to tell you anything more.”
Dasher entered the room not long after Blitzen left, stating that he was “ready to talk now”. “Like every other day, we took off with Santas command. We flew in the sky for a while, each of us unsure on where we were heading.” Dasher began, “Suddenly, Santa commanded us to dive down. Me and Dancer followed the instructions given.”
“Then?”
“Then we…we crashed. Hitting the hard earth beneath us. My legs collapsed beneath me.” He let out a breath. “That’s all I remember.”
Cupid only told investigators one simple thing: “Donner died on his own terms. I will not tell you anything more.”
