9/9 Stancy:
In the first season, Steve (Joe Keery) and Nancy (Natalia Dyer) were dating. However, Steve wasn’t a very good boyfriend, which led to Nancy leaving him for Jonathan. Still, when Steven started to become a better person, fans couldn’t help but fall in love with him and garner hope that Nancy and Steve would get back together. Luckily for the shippers of this couple, in the fourth season, it seems like Nancy could still have feelings for Steve. On top of that, Nancy and Jonathan were very distant in the last season, so anything could happen at this point.
8/9 Ronance:
Robin (Maya Hawke) was the first openly queer canon character to become part of the show, and fans couldn’t have been more excited about it. She comes out to Steve as a lesbian in the third season, and in the fourth season, it’s apparent she may start dating fellow bandmate, Vicky (Amybeth McNutly). However, this doesn’t stop the fandom from shipping her with Nancy. The two girls have a lot of screen time in the fourth season, and the scenes are incredibly cute and hilarious. Even though they’re very different, they quickly develop a nice friendship, and no one can deny they would look great together.
7/9 Jopper:
From the beginning of the series, fans saw potential in these two characters. In the first season, Hopper (David Harbour) helps Joyce (Winona Ryder) find Will, and from then on, the two characters have worked together to save their children and their town from the Upside Down monsters. Even though everything seemed doomed in the third season’s finale with Hopper’s death, it turned out that Hopper was alive in a Russian jail. Joyce saves him and, after a very slow burn, the couple finally kissed in one of the most passionate scenes of the show. It was about time this ship became canon.
6/9 Jancy:
Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) start dating in the third season, and they seemed perfect for each other. Both are intelligent, inquisitive people who fight for what they believe is fair. Fortunately, their shippers had the unique opportunity of seeing their relationship develop throughout the seasons. However, in the last season, Jonathan moved with his family to California and the distance created a breach in their relationship. In the last season’s finale, they seemed to be okay, but let’s hope Jonathan and Nancy get more screen time together in season 5.
5/9 Mileven:
From the beginning of their relationship, it was evident that Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) developed a strong connection. Mike always understood El as no one else did, and his admiration and respect for her shone in each one of their interactions. Finally, Mike confessed his feelings in the second season, and the couple went to their school dance together. Even though in the third season they had a misunderstanding, Mike apologized and the couple reunited. In one of the most emotional quotes of the last season of Stranger Things, Mike confessed his love for Eleven, giving her the strength to defeat Vecna. Lucikly for Mileven shippers, this couple seems stronger than ever, and they may be endgame.
4/9 Steddie:
The fourth season of Stranger Things introduced Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn) , a D&D player who is the leader of the Hellfire Club and who’s framed for the death of Chrissy Cunningham. However, Eddie is far from a murderer and fans immediately fell in love with this character’s big heart. When Nancy, Steve, Robin, Max, and Dustin make it their mission to clear Eddie’s name, Eddie becomes a big part of the group of friends. Joseph Quinn and Joe Keere have amazing on-screen chemistry, so there’s no question why fans would ship them together. However, Eddie dies in the second volume of the last season, so odds are not in their favor – thank god for Alternative Universe fanfics because Eddie Munson deserved way better!
3/9 Elmax:
At the beginning of the show, Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) was the only girl in the group of kids. But in the second season, Max (Sadie Sink) arrives, and she and Eleven develop a very cute friendship. The two girls spend a lot of time together, going shopping or hanging out, with Max giving El advice about dating. Their relationship is so adorable it’s impossible not to ship them together. Even though Eleven is dating Mike, and Max is romantically involved with Lucas, the fandom still hopes this couple could eventually become canon. The girls display amazing chemistry together, so it wouldn’t be outside of the realm of imagination.
2/9 Byler:
Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Will (Noah Schnapp) have been the best of friends since they were small children, and their relationship is so pure and wholesome that it inspired fans to start shipping them. When Will got lost in Upside Down, Mike was devastated and did everything in his power to save him. Mike even tells Will that befriending him in kindergarten was the best thing he ever did. In the fourth season of the show, Will continuously gets upset when he sees Mike and Eleven together, and he tells Mike that he feels abandoned by him. There was also a scene in Argyle’s van where Will shows Mike a painting of them in a D&D campaign, and confesses his feelings for Mike by using Eleven’s name instead of his own. However, Mike and Eleven’s relationship is stronger than ever, and shippers are wondering if Will’s feelings could be reciprocated.
1/9 Lumax:
When Max (Sadie Sink) arrives at Hawkins, Max, and Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin) develop a close relationship that becomes romantic when they kiss at their school’s dance. However, in the third season, Max leaves Lucas to hang out with Eleven when the latter breaks up with Mike. Yet, Max and Lucas still have feelings for each other. In the last season, they rekindled their relationship when Max became a target of Vecna’s curse. Max’s near-death in the arms of Lucas made us ugly cry, but let’s hope these two characters get their well-deserved happy ending.
