Tyler Habib, the 21 year old content creator who created the SuperMarioTyler (later FictionUniverse) YouTube channel, stated in a private interview that he has “longed toyed around with” the idea of starting a podcast. On March 25, 2022, Habib released a Spotify-exclusive 60 second podcast titled “SuperMarioTyler’s Super Zany Podcast” where he briefly detailed his future podcast plans. In the time since, more details regarding a podcast hosted by Habib have come to light. Habib stated he has an official title for his upcoming podcast called To Be Frank(Lin). Habib says that he will be hosting the podcast alongside FictionUniverse alum Maxwell Switlyk, now 21, who has remained good friends with Habib for about 15 years. The podcast will mark the first collaborative project between the two content creators since FictionUniverse’s breakup in 2018 and will discuss topics such as, but not limited to their childhood friendship, struggles through their school years, personal lives, travels and unique experiences, love for fictional characters and animation, inspiration to create content, the rise and fall of SuperMarioTyler, their experiences in fandoms on social media, and future career aspirations in the film industry. Gianni Pizzi, 21, the third FictionUniverse alum alongside Habib and Switlyk, will not be joining the project as ties between Pizzi, Habib, and Switlyk have been strained following the web group’s breakup. There is no release date set for To Be Frank(Lin) but the podcast will likely release in December 2022 or January 2023.
