Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of 45 year old man in Redcar.
Cleveland Police confirmed on Sunday evening that men aged 20 and 35 were being quizzed by detectives after a man was found dead in Ayton drive, Redcar on Friday. All remained in police custody on Sunday.
The 20 -year-old man who sustained serious injuries remains in hospital.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “The man who was sadly found deceased inside an address on Anton drive has yet to be formally identified however police said specialist Family Liaison Officers are supporting his family at this difficult time. Our thoughts remain with them.
“Enquiries are on-going by Cleveland Police HMET (Homicide and Major Enquiry Team), and we are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity from the early hours of Friday morning and the rest of that day on Anton drive or in the surrounding areas.”

Crime scene investigators remained at the scene on Sunday as part of the probe into the man’s death.

Two officers were also stationed in the police car which sits in front of the police tape encompassing a number of homes and a grassed area. Forensic officers in white suits were also at the scene.

A huge emergency services response arrived at the scene, at around 8.30pm on Thursday after reports a man had been assaulted.
Residents told of their shock after witnessing up to 16 police vehicles in the area and paramedics at the property. Large crowds remained stationed on the estate on Friday watching the drama unfold.
