Circumcision results in loss of sensation/sensitivity in the glans, also the process removes many pleasurable aspects of the penis such as the frenulum prepuce and the ridgid band. The fact that it is common practice for children to be circumcised at birth is disgusting and straight up mutilation.
When I was circumcised, I was given what’s known as a high and loose circumcision, which leaves some foreskin. As a result, the glans of my penis are partially covered while I am flaccid (I would say about 1/3), and when hard, I can bring the skin forward above the glans and back down, which is known as gliding action. My frenulum is partially intact as well. But, for those with tight circumcisions, the experience of an erection can be described uncomfortable, and sometimes even painful.

The loss of sensitivity I am speaking of is what is known as keratinization, sometimes you may notice the head of a penis having sort of cracks on it. That is result of a circumcision. I don’t really have it that much since the partial coverage provides moisture to the glans which prevents it.
Overall, I believe the only time a circumcision should be allowed to happen is when an adult wants to do it. No child should ever be forced to go through with a proseigure that genuinely lowers their future sexual pleasure.
A process some will go through who were circumcised is known as foreskin restoration. This process is where one esentially “tugs” on the area around their scarline (which was created by their circumcision), whether that’s with their hands or a device, inducing the process of mitosis. The process, although great for many, it also takes many years and most really only ever reach flaccid coverage.
The benefits of foreskin restoration is not only aethstetic, however. Thanks to the new coverage of the glans, this will result in dekeratinization, due to the presence of moisture being consistent and active. This means gain of sensitivity to the glans, giving an overall more pleasurable experience. Another benefit for those with tighter cuts is gliding action, as spoken of before. This will give the ability to slide the foreskin above the glans, and then back down, which feels nice as you’d expect. This essentially eliminates needs for lubricant in terms of masturbation, for those who were tightly circumcised.
To summarize, foreskin restoration is a long process, yes. But the benefits are worth it for some, whether that is eliminating circumcision grief (some males genuinely experience depression due to being circumcised), the pleasure factors, or the aethstetic of foreskin. There is no harm in it, and overall people who have done it have been happy they did it.
Here is a chart displaying the different areas of the penis and how pleasurable they are. This should give an idea of what is exactly lost in circumcision: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1029244312032124970/1057655911797227540/IMG_1142.jpg
