Last week, Castaic High School’s basketball team faced off against Golden Valley High School in front of Cal Baptist recruiting staff. Despite the loss, one player stood out amongst the rest – 6’4 junior guard Tashaun Barron.
Barron put on an impressive performance, scoring 8 points, dishing out 5 assists, and grabbing an impressive 12 rebounds. He also had an incredible block, showcasing his defensive prowess. Despite the loss, Barron’s effort and skill on the court caught the attention of the Cal Baptist staff, who were in attendance to scout potential recruits.
Castaic High School’s coach, Dominique Butler, praised Barron’s performance, saying, “Tashaun is an incredibly talented player. He’s a leader on and off the court, and his dedication to the game is evident in the way he plays. He’s an asset to our team and we’re lucky to have him.”
Barron’s impressive performance has certainly caught the attention of college recruiters, and it’s likely that he’ll be receiving offers from some of the top basketball programs in the country. With his size, skill, and dedication, Barron is a force to be reckoned with on the court, and it’s clear that he has a bright future ahead of him.
