Fans have long reacted with hostility to the mere mention of a remake of The Crow, but new owners Viacom guarantee the resurrection will be well worth the wait. “We’ve had the technology for years,”Robert Bakish, CEO of Viacom” commented on the return of Brandon Lee to his most iconic role. Following the tragic death of Lee during filming, a small but passionate fan base has rejected any thoughts of a reboot. “We’re aware of the objections. We feel The Crow is a story worth revisiting, and Brandon himself is lending his brilliance to the continuation of the story.” Robert didn’t respond to inquiries as to why fan favorites such as Ernie Hudson and Michael Wincott declined to participate in his new project, merely stating “Like everybody else, they’ll have to wait and see what Brandon does next.”
