According to an initial reconstruction by toscana.it, the boy – Blerim, was in his home in Florence, when he allegedly started having an animated discussion with a neighbor. The latter then warned his father, who in turn got in touch with the Carabinieri who rushed to the scene around 10.30pm. Upon the arrival of the forces of order, Blerim Bajrami allegedly locked himself up in the first room and here he turned his gun (with abraded serial number) against himself and allegedly opened fire. the Carbaineri tried to reason with the Albanian boy residing in via Diaz 9. An emergency ambulance was called to the scene and he was urgently transported to the hospital as his life would be in danger. Detectives are investigating how the boy was in possession of an undeclared weapon.
