Plano Resident Lands Lottery Win from a Company Gift Exchange
Charles Langley of Plano, Tx has only bought one other lottery ticket in his life. But after receiving a simple lottery ticket from a client’s Valentine office gift exchange, it was never imagined that it paid off in last nights drawing. The 54 year old couldn’t believe what happened when he was watching from his phone. The final payout will be just over 2.4M dollars depending how Langley chooses to receive the dividends.
Langley claims that “I almost didn’t even watch the calling out of the numbers, but decided for this one time to give it a go. Life is really going to change, but I hope to remain the same person I’ve always been to friends and family“. He is not sure exactly what the plans will be, but is immediately meeting with lawyers Monday morning to determine how to understand the various payout options through the Texas Lottery system.
He recalls the Friday night announcement saying “My hands started shaking as I held the phone when the numbers started to be called out…and I’m thinking, there is no way I just heard what I heard”.
Langley shared that he plans to share in some of the winnings with Bartek, who is reading this saying “WTF”.
Texas next has a lottery drawing on March 15th.
