University of Virginia Food Truck Burns Down

UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA—The Charlottesville Fire Department said a fire started inside around 4 p.m. on Friday. Crews had to deal with the dangers of propane tanks and a compromised gas line. Officials state that the amount of cooking oil carried by the truck exceeded the legal limit. “It is a bit devastating. This is my livelihood, and our only source of income” says Sombreros owner David Rodriguez. Rodriguez remarks the uptick in demand they have had recently stating, “they demanded more food, so we had to do something.”
