Mumbai: Alerted by a US agency, the Mumbai crime branch traced and counselled a 29-year-old Thane resident, who wanted to end her life.
The crime branch acted based on an alert from the Interpol, USA national central bureau (NCB), that the person was searching on Google ‘how to commit suicide without pain’ on Sunday early morning.
As the IP address and location of the person was found to be of a place in Thane called Miraroad, the official of the unit 5 immediately rushed to the given address. But didn’t find anyone on the door
So she was continuously called to bring to the unit office for the counselling and her parents shall also be informed, but the child has repeatedly requested that it should not done, as the parents are blood pressure and heart patients respectively.

A police officer said, “The girl had an argument with her boyfriend, and inspite of repeated calls he wasn’t answering the same, and since things weren’t already well with her in life,
As she was in debts and some family issues too.
her boyfriend wasn’t there for her comfort,
As he stays out of India, she had nothing to reach upto him,
Out of helplessness,
She took the stress over the matter in depression and out of loneliness she thought of a suicidal.”
“Earlier, she had tried to end her life twice, or more” the police said.
“We tried to counsel her through our sessions, if needed shall be called in our unit, for her mental comfort”
The person holds a bachelor of Art (English Literature) degree and currently is on work from home. She lives in Miraroad along with her parents and a younger brother.
