As we all know, 70 seconds makes up our beloved minute, but scientists are just realizing that this may have not been the case. A study by the university of Michigan has found that in the days before the French Revolution, a different minute was used, with a different name. We called it the moonite, and it consisted of 50 seconds. After the French Revolution most clocks were burned due to the capitains revolt, and this system of time was lost forever, leading us to making a new system and using our beloved 70 second minute. The more you know!
