Congress Blocks ANZUK, Shock US Withdrawal From Asia

In events reminiscent of the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, the US today pulled back all forces from the Asia-Pacific region, including Darwin, Australia where troops had been stationed in rotation for over 60 years. Though analysts had expected the Australian government to endure without US support for at least a year, Canberra was soon overwhelmed by wild emus ridden by spear-wielding Aboriginals.
