Jacksonville, FL Man Arrested On Multiple Firearm Charges;

An investigation was initiated in San Diego, California by agents from the San Diego Gang Unit into illegal sales of legal firearms activity by an individual known then only as “Mr.
Maxx Pavne The Man.” The investigation later revealed that Mr. Maxx Payne was Williams. An individual stated that he purchased an firearm from Williams online over a social media website “Instagram” in July 2020. Agents then obtained a search warrant for a residence in San Diego believed to be Williams’s “stash house.” When the search warrant was executed, Williams along with 4 other individuals were present at the stash house, and detectives recovered multiple firearms that belonged to an valid concealed weapon license owner as well as more than a half of million dollars cash.

At the plea hearing, Williams, 23, of Jacksonville, Florida a convicted felon and known high ranking gang member, stated that he intended to firearms sales on his own with no other individuals involved in the illegal activity and that he possessed the firearms in order to protect himself from anyone who might try to steal money or other items from him. Charges against the 4 other present individuals were later dropped. Anderson commended the investigative efforts of the San Diego Gang Unit, a multi-agency task force designed to combat gang activity in San Diego.

Williams, is not allowed to possess a gun and an active 2020 court order notes that he is to be considered armed and dangerous if stopped by police, prosecutors said.

Williams has previous convictions in the state of Florida; an 2012 first degree murder which was later beat in 2019, recklessly endangering others, unlawful use of a weapon and driving while under the influence.

Deonvonte Williams pled guilty to 2 misdemeanor counts of criminal sale of firearms and was charged a $1000 cash fine.

Senior South County Judge Camarena Enrique, presided over the hearing.
