2 Men killed in The Bronx this evening.

Tragic news came out of the Bronx today as two men were found dead in what police are calling a double homicide.

The victims, whose names have not yet been released, were found early this morning in an alleyway behind a residential building in the Fordham Heights neighborhood. Police responded to a 911 call reporting the sound of gunshots and arrived on the scene to find the two men with gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical services were also called to the scene, but unfortunately, both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses and canvassing the area for any possible surveillance footage. No arrests have been made, and a motive for the killings has not been established.

Residents in the area are understandably shaken by the violence. “It’s scary to think that something like this can happen so close to home,” said one resident who wished to remain anonymous. “I hope the police catch whoever did this.”

The double homicide in the Bronx is the latest in a string of violent crimes in the city. Mayor Bill de Blasio has promised to increase police presence in the affected neighborhoods and to work with community leaders to address the root causes of the violence.

The investigation into the killings is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact the NYPD.
